Calendar: How do I delete entries in the Calendar?

ANSWER:

Calendar: Delete options

NOTE: If you do not see a delete option for an entry, you cannot delete the entry because it was likely  created by a course Administrator; only Administrators can delete public entries.

To delete one entry:

  • From the week or day view, locate the entry and click its ActionLinks icon. 
  • Click Delete. A confirmation message appears. If the entry is not recurring, click OK. If the entry is recurring and you want to delete this occurrence only, click Delete This Occurrence Only. If the entry is recurring and you want to delete all occurrences, click Delete All.

 

To delete all entries:

Click the Delete All button. A confirmation message appears.  Please read it carefully before clicking OK. Tip: Selecting Delete All in the week or month view deletes all entries in the entire course that were created in Calendar, not just those in the current view. Selecting Delete All in the day view deletes only entries for that day. If the entry is not recurring, click OK. If one or more of the entries are recurring and you want to delete this occurrence only, click Delete This Occurrence Only. If one or more of the entries are recurring and you want to delete all occurrences, click Delete All. All entries for the day or week are deleted.

 

To delete all entries in a specified date range:

Click the Delete a Range button. The Delete a Range of Entries screen appears. From the Start date and End date drop-down lists, select a date range. You can also click the Date Selection Calendar icon and in the pop-up calendar, click the date you want. Click Delete. A confirmation message appears. Click OK. All of the entries in the date range you specified are deleted.
