Raising Your Hand
If your Instructor or Teaching Assistant has enabled handraise mode, you must raise your hand to participate in the Chat or Whiteboard room. Click Raise Your Hand. Your Instructor or Teaching Assistant is notified that you have raised your hand. When it is your turn, a message appears informing you that you have the microphone/pen.
Sending Messages
To all participants: type your text at the bottom of the screen and press Enter to send the message. Your message appears in the Chat window where all users in the room can see it.
To selected participants (private): If this option is available, double-click the name of the user that you want to send a private message to. The Private Chat pop-up window appears. Type your message and click Send.
Sending URLs
You can send URLs to all users in the Chat room. In the text box at the bottom of the screen, enter the URL. To enter more than one URL, separate each URL with a space. For example:
Click . The URL appears in your Chat window where all users in the room can see it.
