Content: Customize Link

You can force content items to open in a new window so that students can see both the main course frame and the open item relative to one another.

Role(s) Needed: These instructions apply to Section-level Designers. 

Step 1: From the Build tab, go to the Home page or folder containing the item you want to force to open in a new browser window.

Step 2: Click the down arrow  icon next to the item link's name and selectCustomize Link.

Step 3: On the Link Settings page, check the option Open in a new browser window:

Step 4: Click Save.

TIP: Click the Student View tab and click the link to test that the item pops up in a new window.
