Content: Description vs Custom Description for this Link
For certain content items, such as links for learning modules, web links, discussion topics, assessments, etc., their links can have 2 Description fields. The purpose of this is so that if you link the same item in multiple locations, you can optionally enter a different description for each location of that link.
If you do not want different descriptions, remove the Custom Description (Customize Link) text and then the text in the Description (Edit Properties) will display. NOTE: If you have associated a customized icon for the item, the description under Customize Link will be the default description.
