ISSUE:

A situation where you might see this issue is if you change the title of a link (Edit Properties).  The title is updated on the Edit Properties page and in the tool (such as Discussions) where the changed item belongs. However, where the item is linked within the Home page, folder, or a learning module, the old title is still there.  If you go into Edit Properties, the new title is reflected.

RESOLUTION:

If your descriptions are not updated through Edit Properties, click on the Action Link next to the icon and select Customize Link.
