No, there is no easy way to check for viruses on the course server or any Internet-based server. The best way to protect yourself is to have a virus protection program on your personal computer. UNLV Students and Faculty/Staff can obtain a free copy of Symantec AntiVirus.  More information can be found here - https://oit.unlv.edu/software/symantec-antivirus.  It is recommended that you protect your computer not only from documents you download within the course, but also any documents you download from the Internet.
