Goals: How do I associate files with goals?
ANSWER: GOALS - ASSOCIATED FILES
Role(s) Needed: These instructions apply to Section-level Designers.
Step 1: From the Build tab, click the Goals tool.
Step 2: If you haven't already, create the goal.
Step 3: From the Goals screen, click on the title of the goal with which you want to associate a file.
Step 4: Click Associate File.
Step 5: In the Get Files window, navigate your file manager to find the file, check it, and click OK.
- If the file doesn't yet exist in your course, click My Computer to upload a file from your computer. Slect a file on your computer and click Open. TIP: You can select multiple files to upload at once. As long as the files are in the same folder, hold down the Ctrl key as you select each file.
- A status bar will show the progress of the files being uploaded. For example:
- If the My Computer icon does not appear, you need to get Java. Reference the articles on Java in this knowledge base for further details.
Instructors (via the Teach tab) and Students can click the Goals item to view the goals in the course. When they click on the link to the goal, they will see a list of all learning objects associated with that goal .Clicking on a link to any object will direct the Student to that specific object, such as a test or file.
