Grade Book: How do I determine the order in which columns are displayed to students?
Grade Book: View All tab > Reorder Columns
You can determine the left-to-right order in which columns display in each of the Grade Book tabs. The order of columns is unique to each tab: you can have the Last Name column appear left-most in the Grades tab and have it as the third column in the Members tab.
However, the column order on the View All tab explicitly determines the order in which columns are displayed to students in their My Grades area.
Step 1: In the Grade Book, click on the View All tab.
Step 2: Click the Reorder Columns button:

Each column that is currently in the tab you started from appears in a list. The top-most column in this list is the left-most column in the tab.
NOTE: A hidden column only applies to your Grade Book view, and not to students' My Grades area. Column visibility for students is determined by the Released to Students option, which is accessible via the Grade Book Options button > Column Settings.
Step 4: Next to each column you want to move, select the check box.
Step 5: To move the selected columns to the left (above) or right (below) of a column, under Move, click the Insert icon next to that target column.
Step 6: Click Save to re-order the columns.
TIP: To confirm the correct order for Students, click your Student View tab and then the My Grades tool.
