Grade Book: How do I view the submissions for gradable assignments, assessments, or discussion topics via the Grade Book?

Grade Book: View Submissions

You can quickly 'jump' to the submissions for an assignment, assessment or gradable discussion topic from Grade Book columns that have been automatically created for these items.

Role(s) Needed: These instructions apply to Instructors and Teaching Assistants (if TAs are permitted to use the Grade Book).

Step 1: From a Grade Book tab screen, locate the column for which to view grade submissions.

Step 2: Click the down arrow next to the column name and select View Submissions

Depending on the type of submissions you are viewing, one of the following screens appear:

  • If you are viewing submissions for an assignment, the Assignment Dropbox screen appears with the All tab displayed. The submissions in the All tab are filtered so you only see submissions for the assignment you selected in Grade Book.
     
  • If you are viewing submissions for an assessment, the Assessment Submissions screen appears with the All tab displayed. The submissions in the All tab are filtered so you only see submissions for the assessment you selected in Grade Book.
     
  • If you are viewing submissions for a gradable discussion topic, the Messages screen appears with the submissions for the discussion topic you selected in Grade Book.
