How do I add WebCampus as a trusted site in Internet Explorer? (recommended)
ANSWER:
NOTE: This applies only to users on Internet Explorer
When trying to download files in WebCampus, you may come across an issue where it doesn't allow the download to occur and a yellow bar pops up in your browser stating "Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer." To fix this issue, please be sure to add WebCampus as a trusted site in Internet Explorer.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click on Tools from the Menu bar and select Internet Options
- Click on the Security Tab .
- Click on the Trusted Sites icon.
- Click on Sites... button
- From the Trusted sites window, enter https://webcampus.nevada.edu in the Add this Web site to the zone textbox.
- Click Add.
- Click OK.
- Click OK again.
For Internet Explorer 7.0, 8.0 & 9.0 users, you will also want to change the additional setting to allow downloads for files within WebCampus:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click on Tools from the and select Internet Options
- Click on the Security Tab .
- In the Security level for this zone section, click on Custom Level
- Scroll down to the Downloads heading
- Set Automatic prompting for file downloads to Enable
- Click OK
