Mail: How do I forward my course e-mail to my campus e-mail address?

ANSWER:

Mail: Forwarding

You can forward a copy of your course mail messages to an external account (such as your campus e-mail address).  If you are enrolled in multiple courses that meet online, Mail Forwarding may help you better manage new messages that come in.

When you specify an external email account for a course, then every new course message you receive will also appear in your external email account.

To turn on Mail Forwarding:

Step 1: From your My page, click the My Settings link.

Step 2: Click the Edit Profile button.

Step 3: Enter the email address you want messages forwarded to.

Step 4: Click Save.

Step 5: Click the My Tool Options tab.

Step 6: Scroll down to the Mail section.

Step 7: Check the option Forward all mail messages to the e-mail address in my profile.

Step 8: Click Save.

TIPS:

  • You can only read the message from the external account; to reply, go to the course Mail tool. This is because you can’t send mail from an external address to the online course system; likewise, you can’t send mail from an online course to an external email address.

  • Within the course system, you can access all course mail from one place via the Mail icon on the MyWebCampus page.
