My Files: How do I upload files to a private file area in my course?
ANSWER:
My Files: Get Files
You can upload a file to your My Files area in the course so that it is available only to you, and not visible to other Designers enrolled in your course. My Files is a subset of the course File Manager, which houses course files such as Syllabus, PowerPoint presentations, multimedia clips, and images that need to be accessible to users enrolled in your course.
My Files, on the other hand, is used to create and store your personal files in the online course system. Each user, including each student user, has their own My Files that is always private and cannot be accessed by other users.
Step 1: From the MyWebCampus page, click the Content Manager tab.
Step 2: Click Get Files.
Step 3: In the Content Browser, double-click My Computer.
Step 4: Select a file on your computer and click Open.
TIP: You can select multiple files to upload at once. As long as the files are in the same folder, hold down the Ctrl key as you select each file.
A status bar will show the progress of the files being uploaded.
TIP: If the My Computer icon does not appear, you need to get Java. Another option is to create a Web folder reference to your My Files area so that you can drag and drop files from your computer. Reference the articles on Java and WebDAV in this knowledge base for further details.
