RealPlayer Invalid Socket Error
There is a common video error message in WebCampus regarding an invalid socket error. Here is how to fix this error:
- Open RealPlayer.
- Click on Tools, then Preferences.
- Click on Network Transports.
- Place a check box in Manually configure connections settings.
- Click on RTSP Settings.
- Uncheck Attempt to use Multicast for live content.
- Uncheck Attempt to use UDP for all content.
- Uncheck Attempt to use TCP for all content.
- Check Attempt to use HTTP for all content.
- Click OK
- Click on PNA Settings.
- Uncheck Attempt to use Multicast for live content.
- Uncheck Attempt to use UDP for all content.
- Uncheck Attempt to use TCP for all content.
- Check Attempt to use HTTP for all content.
- Click OK, than OK again to save the changes.
